Jeremiah Fyah Ises , born Jeremiah Bongani Mandlazi is a South African Reggae Artist that was raised in a township called Kwa-Thema (Springs ) Ekurhuleni, South Africa. Fyah Ises got exposed to music at an early age through "Zion Church", a Christian church which he attended until the age of 14 then he decided to heed the calling of becoming Rasta which is where he became a member of the "Nyahbhingi Congregation", a Rastafarian community that was based in his naighbourhood called Barcelona in Kwa- Thema. He was taught to play a guitar by his fellow brethren named Jan and while he was in high school he became a member of a group called "King Negus Mlonji" which expose him to the Ragga (Dancehall) type of rhyming. While he was in college he became the President and Director of Social Affairs for the SRC(School Representative Council) where he displayed his leadership abilities which are visible in his music today. He then started to write his own songs which includes songs like " Sensimina" which became big around Open Mic Sessions in and around his neighbourhood, the song was produced by Killah Beats. In 2008 he worked with Red Piano Studios, recording singles which didn't get much exposure but that never dented his eagarness to achive his goals, he never gave up on his dream. He became part of "H .I .D." which is a hip-hop group where he was featured in their mix tape called "Skillz Gallery".
Fyah Ises's golden voice speaks directly to the heart and his style of singing is compared to that of Jah Cure and Tarrus Riley. Jeremiah also referred to as Ises or Jah Bongz or Prophet continued his recording and performance around his neighbourhood, Ekurhuleni (East of Johannesburg) which is where he draws most of his inspiration from and during his journey, he was also strongly inspired by one of the popular musician "BONGO RIOT" who is also from Ekurhuleni. Fyah continued with his music journey and worked with "Cycle Of Life" recording singles and mix tapes which is where he did a hit track called "Beat the Congo drum", it features Mafeshini a Rap Artist, by then you couldn't deny he was on his way to success though in 2010 he felt that music was not enough to keep up with the high standards of living which the youth faces so he went and looked for a job at a restaurant, while working there, the music edge kept growing stronger so he started writting songs again.
His 1st radio interview was with "EKfm" a community radio station based in Tsakane", Ekurhuleni then in 2012 he met with Shamrock Guitor(Producer) through Lwazi and Linda (Friends), Ises and Shamrock decided to come up with a project as they complimented each other musically which they called the album" Uhambo " (The Journey) written by Fyah Ises produced by Shamrock Guitor which only features 1 female artist "Nonhlanhla Madlose" which he discovered. The album features a hits like "Mama" and "Never go low" which is currently receiving airplay on one of the biggest Radio Station in the country (Yfm 99.2). Ises has worked with Blazing Fyah from Senegal, More Life Productions from California where he did a track on the "Herb Family Riddim" and it features big names like Sizzla, Tefflon, Jabalance, Khalali Blaxx and more. He has performed along side Bongo Riot, Jahkongo, Ras Melody, Fyah Priest and more, Ises has continued to move and rock the audience by his performance on stage he has also worked with Kepra Ithiopia Sound, Blazing Fyah Studios from South Africa he is quoted saying "MUZIK IS THE SOURCE OF LIFE, IT IS THE 1ST LANGUAGE THAT KEEPS US TOGETHER IN LOVE & UNITY". He is currently working with QueenSoulVibe_SA and they are responsible for his "Uhambo -The Journey" Album Pre-launch which will take place on the 27th of July 2013 at Kingston On 4th in Melville, Johannesburg.
